Just wondering - how many of you actually make a point of listening to at least one of whatever the TDIH's of the day might be?

I'm putting my name in the effectively never box.

I always have a look - if there's a number or pairing I like I try that then listen to more or move on depending on how well it was played or sound quality.

Never. If it is something new to me and is highly recommended, I'll make a note and get to it later. I try to follow my mood on what to listen to on any given day.

Hey SDH. Does that 'Good for you' come with a little macho slap on the ass? Sign me up.

And l think Dire would pitch-a-tent in someones camp than actually set on up.
Your camp has cows if lm not mistaken. And Hepatitis?

Oh, and nice Mr. Wordsmith with the R Kelly comeback. Bravo

Im thinking that it gets to a point for some of you experts to know it doesnt matter what day it is when it comes to the GD. And it doesn't...
As far as the ? of daily listening to TDIH? Thats one of the only reasons l put up with most of you.
lm consider myself lucky in that, and in that know l come here for some of the best music that will ever exist (to me).
l have the pleasure (but not for long, as my job has left me recently) to
listen to AT LEAST a show a day. You may think~ ugh... 3 hours in front of a comp screen. YES, you are right. But to me, its a TDIH everyday. And the work will get done as l get down.
Tidbits are good too some days. And we all finding ourselves skipping the songs we find unsavory;

Somewhat similar to DWolfs Tenn Jed hatred due to that
fateful day when Dires Uncle Jed touched him like an angel,
I have had a hard time listening to 'Direwolf' lately (oddly enough)
ever since it came on the car stereo as l was recently taking my beloved pooch to the vet for "the last time", if ya know what lm saying, and here she is looking up at me and Jerrys singing, "PLLEEEEEaaaasse. Dont murder me..."
It will be a while before I stop skipping that song, lm sure.

And that varies through time as well. But as we all say, it differs from this day in history to TDIH sometimes. So for instance, today, I checked out the 1990 while at work. And now under a lovely haze at home (or what l refer to as the 'glorified storage unit')...the 1970. Both magnificent in their own rights. And dammit, yes, l didnt miss all the other ones today. But there is always todays other ones tomorrow.

So put me in the non-never box

And Ashes..............keep blowing my brain up...gracias

Yeah man. Medicaid red tape has shut the home health
aid agency I work (worked) for down. We are in the wrap-
ping up phase. I cant wait to go out in this economy and
have to look for a new job for the first time in 9 years.
Woo-hoo.

Hey craven - what's the R Kelly comeback? I'm genuinely bamboozled by that reference. Bring me up to speed if you will.

Thank you.

"Hey wolfman, I'd rather have you inside my tent pissing out than outside pissing in.

I think you are smart enough to figure it out. My woolly-
cotton brained mind pictured you outside the tent is all.
See: JOTS reference.
If you are really that out of touch with
stupid American cable TV, I can understand. Its one long,
continuous steam of fart jokes. Please dont make me post
hyper-links to R Kelly and/or golden showers.

Im not trying to take the piss out of you, so to speak.

I will look for you in the upcoming wedding ceremony in the tapers section til next time.

Ahhh... stupid American cable - we get that here too. But so far as I know it was LBJ who said it with reference to J Edgar Hoover.

As to that wedding, I'll be staying well clear.

Yes, I usually start with TDIH. (starting in early years - I rarely make it beyond 1981). Love the targeted write-ups here in the comments - provides great context - and you folks are downwrite funny.

Me, if there is a TDIH that I have never heard before and it is highly recommended by those folks whose opinion I actually care about, I will be sure to give it a spin.

I start my day with at least a look at TDIH's offerings. Usually listen to tidbits, not whole shows.

I'm in rob's "effectively never" box. In fact, I'm in the same box for listening to whole shows. I just can't seem to find the time, the motivation or the ability to match time and motivation. I quite frequently will listen to the touted "highlights" of a TDIH or other recommended show.

It's just a way to decide what to listen to. I don't make a point of it, but if someone writes a very enthusiastic post about it, I'm swept along.

Sometimes... but if the show doesn't grab me, it won't hold me for long. I will look for recommended highlights if I can't manage the time for the whole thing.
